Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the AlifPal mobile app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

The service

AlifPal provides Arabic-language lessons for personal, non-commercial use, and a community space where learners share what they learned ("Learned" logs), react to each other's posts, and follow each other. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the service at any time.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old and able to lawfully enter into these terms in your jurisdiction to create an account.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users

AlifPal is a friendly place to learn. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In your posts, display name, @handle, bio, and profile picture, you agree not to share anything that is:

• hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening, or discriminatory;
• sexually explicit, pornographic, or violent;
• defamatory, or that impersonates another person or organization;
• spam, advertising, or links to scams or malware;
• illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright.

Posts, names, bios, and handles are checked against a list of offensive words before they are published, but no filter is perfect, so we rely on you too.

Reporting and blocking

You can report any post or user from inside the app (the "..." menu on a post or a profile), and block any user so their posts no longer appear for you and they can no longer react to yours. Reports reach us straight away; you can also email support@alifpal.com. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms, we remove it, and we suspend or permanently remove the account of the user who posted it.

Other acceptable use

You also agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend systems;
• create accounts automatically or use the app to send bulk or automated posts.

Content

Lessons, audio, illustrations, and other app content are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal use only. You may not copy, redistribute, or use them commercially without our permission.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you give us permission to store it and show it to other AlifPal users for as long as it stays on the app. You can delete your posts at any time.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for content posted by other users.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
