Privacy Policy

AlifPal ("we", "us") makes the AlifPal mobile app, a tool for learning Arabic. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can control or delete it.

Information we collect

• Account information. Email address, and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and profile photo those providers share with us. This is used to create and secure your account.
• Profile content you add. A display name and an optional profile picture you choose from your photo library or camera.
• Learning activity. Your lesson progress, streaks, and exercise answers, so the app can resume where you left off and show your progress.
• Push notification token. A device token used to send you optional lesson reminders. You can disable this in your device's notification settings at any time.
• Diagnostic data. If the app crashes or errors, we automatically collect a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version) through Sentry, so we can fix bugs. This is not linked to your identity.
• App integrity data. Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity signals (via Firebase App Check), used only to verify requests come from a genuine copy of the app, not to identify you.

We do not collect microphone or audio recordings, location, or contacts.

How we use your information

Solely to operate the app: creating and authenticating your account, saving your learning progress, sending the reminders you opt into, and diagnosing crashes. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and app integrity checks.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting.
• Apple / Google — if you choose to sign in with your Apple or Google account.

We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your personal information to third parties.

Data storage and retention

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see below), your profile and learning data are deleted from our production systems.

Your choices

• You can edit your profile information at any time from within the app.
• You can turn off notifications in your device settings.
• You can delete your account and its data at any time — see Delete your account.

Children's privacy

AlifPal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
